Another pro-Palestinian rally was held Wednesday, Aug. 21, in Union Park. The Chicago Coalition for Justice in Palestine organized the rally, which a few thousand protestors attended.

Third-party presidential candidates Jill Stein and Cornel West spoke, sharing their visions for the presidency and condemning the two-party system.

The Coalition to March on the DNC — a collective of over 200 organizations — rallied today in Union Park in protest of the Democratic National Convention.

The coalition’s primary goal in protesting the DNC was to pressure the Democratic Party to end all aid to Israel, among other progressive policies.

The march began shortly after 3 p.m. and concluded after 6 p.m. with arrests made as a group of protestors knocked down a fence outside the United Center. The group has another protest planned for Thursday evening, as Vice President Kamala Harris is expected to accept the presidential nomination.
